I have always loved animals, ever since I can remember. They played a big part in our family and I’m proud to come from a long line of nature lovers who taught me to respect and care for all living things. After much indecision as a teenager I eventually found myself at college and later university studying all things animal related, volunteering with animal charities and finally settling into a career as a fully trained pet groomer.
Pete wouldn’t know a Poodle from a Labrador but he does know how to build a salon, install equipment, create a website and lots of other clever tricks!
My world revolves around Dogs! In my teenage years I earnt pocket money walking local dogs, then I followed a career with animals, studying a Level 3 BTEC in Animal Management and BSc Degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare! My studies were supplemented by working in a popular pet store, and then I began my grooming
career and haven’t looked back! I have a Romanian Rescue called Loki, who is my shadow and who I adore beyond words and we love getting lost on long walks!
Our son was the inspiration for all of this. He has been affectionately nicknamed “Peanut” ever since our very first glimpse of him at an ultrasound scan, hence the name Peanut Paws. Shortly after Peanut’s birth, we made plans to start our own small grooming salon to give us a better balance between home life and work. While Jenny used her grooming experience to source the best equipment, Pete set about doing what he knows best, building walls, wiring things up and converting our conservatory into a beautiful little professional salon.
Our logo was expertly designed by our friend Ellie. The stars of the logo our own two dogs, Krynn the Border Collie and Storm the Samoyed.
With all the planning and hard work complete we finally opened the doors of our salon based at our home in Crewe Cheshire.
With the salon doing well we welcomed a new member of the team. Amy has excelled in living upto the Peanut Paws standard and won the hearts of all of our clients
This month we were blessed with another son. We stuck with the nut theme and nicknamed him Pistachio (Pistachio Paws doesn't quite have the same ring to it does it?) However, the expansion of our family led us to start considering expanding the Peanut Paws family.
We were offered the opportunity to take on a second salon, which would allow us to expand and offer our services to a wider area. Nestled nicely between Nantwich and Whitchurch in Combermere
